Hung Cheung-hong, a commissioner for oaths at the Home Affairs Department, was sentenced at the District Court a day after he pleaded guilty to 21 counts of accessing a computer with dishonest intent. The year-old father of two, also an auxiliary police officer, admitted that between and , he had taken indecent videos of 20 women who came to seek his services at the North District Office. He distracted his victims by asking them to turn around, the court heard. Sentencing Hung on Wednesday, Deputy Judge Don So Man-lung said oath-taking was meant to be a solemn matter, but Hung had used that to prey on his victims while they were unaware. Before sending him away, the judge concluded that the man had abused his power. Hung initially faced a string of 49 charges including using computers dishonestly and misconduct in public office. But prosecutors did not pursue the rest after Hung admitted to 21 of the charges.
Police: Former Colorado school staffer shot upskirt videos of students
A former bank employee who took upskirt videos of four colleagues was finally caught after he did the same thing to a woman he met for the first time. Teo Chun Peng, 29, had met the victim for dinner at Republic Plaza and they were heading down an escalator in the building in Raffles Place. She confronted Teo and demanded that he hand over his mobile phone, so that she could check it. Teo tried to run away and a scuffle ensued. The victim gave chase and shouted to passers-by for help.
The incidents occurred between April 1 and May 13, police said. Enrique Garcia said. An ensuing investigation identified the man as year-old San Jose resident James Rehmert, whom police identified as a registered sex offender in California. Wednesday, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Rehmert for 14 misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct. Rehmert was already in the Santa Clara County Main Jail for an unrelated offense, and police served him the warrant in custody.
