Having trouble posting or changing forum settings? The MG Experience www. I assume the rubber late model MG Midget bumper can be removed and an older chrome bumper and grille fitted. What parts will I need to make this conversion? I assume many people like the older style and have made this conversion.
Santa Fe Regional Airport. Precision Approach LLC is your source for aircraft management, professional pilot services, and advanced flight training. There's an upside to the simple approach that the factory used in adding the rubber bumpers, they retained the original sheet metal underneath. It isn't all sunshine and rainbows, though. The fenders gained some giant holes, they painted the lower sections black, and don't get me started on the back of the car. I did my internet research some of the information was even correct!
I worked on the front bumper after I had finished the rear bumper. The first thing to do when removing the front bumper is to disconnect the wires that go to the running lights mounted in the front bumper. The wires go into the main engine compartment and connect to the wiring harness. Simply pull the bullet connectors apart at the harness and thread the wires through the fender so they are loose. Next locate the 4 nuts holding the front bumper to the frame.
