Rubber roller coating breakdown is the most common problem with prepress equipment. Rollers can be exposed to harsh chemicals which combined with elevated temperatures accelerate the decompostion of the rubber coating and its bond to the metal core. Many times the material used by the OEM is not conducive to this environment and breaks down more quickly than it should.
