We were a gay couple who visited A W R while we were staying in a friend's condo. Though the weather was beautiful and we had a good time hanging out swimming, we would like to advise the management to do something about the unhygienic conditions of the public bathrooms and showers. One toilet was unusable and smelled terribly. The showers had no soap available and they were very unclean. A place like A W R should also give daypass visitors facilities which are up to standard.
Day Pass Review - Review of CCBC Resort Hotel, Cathedral City, CA - TripAdvisor
Thankfully I've not spent any money staying at this place. I've gone a few times now on a "Day Pass". Many gay resorts in Palm Springs offer this option. But the place is average. The crowd is down right scary. Maybe it's because most the gay community is in Palm Springs now and this "resort" is several miles away.
7 Gay Resorts in Palm Springs: Party in the Disneyland of Gay Culture
Just a few hours drive or train ride away from Los Angeles or San Diego, this Coachella Valley resort town offers warm days all year-long, gorgeous scenery, boutique shops, booming nightlife, and an edgy art scene. Palm Springs is more than Coachella. Palm Springs is still a fun town for gay travelers on any given day. Arenas Road.
A BAD experience I would not recommend for anyone to stay here as an overnight guest. If you must, just get a day pass. The rooms are subpar and cramped, very few amenities to speak of or worth mentioning. After seeing my room I wanted to leave. The management would not refund my money and became very hostile and nasty.
